Supporting Teaching and Learning Case Study 2

Posted on: 17/02/2011

I decided I wanted to have a career in education when my daughter started school. Before that I had been a florist, and wanted to do something as after having children I was sitting at home all the time. I have been volunteering at a school for 2 ½ years now and I am an INA and MDSA which I love.
My employer has been very supportive whilst I have been doing my qualification, and my assessor has brilliant.
The Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools Level 3 qualification which I was doing was perfect for me as after doing my level 2, I wanted to specialise more and become a SNE, which I can do now that I have my level 3. The level 3 has given me more background into procedures for children and what is needed.
My overall experience with Campus Training has been very good. Everything was so straight forward and so much easier than college. Throughout the qualification I have had plenty of support and advice.
