Candidates must be suitably qualified in the area that they assess This Qualification is appropriate for you if your role involves:

• Assessing candidates against agreed standards of competence using a range of assessment methods
• Giving candidates feedback on your assessment decisions
• Contributing to the internal quality assurance processes.

A2 - Assess Candidates' Performance through Observation
Candidates must be suitably qualified in the area that they assess in. This qualification is appropriate for you if you are involved in:

• Planning assessments with candidates

V1 – Internal Verifier
This qualification is suitable for those Assessors who wish to train as an internal verifier. Candidates will need access to A1 assessors to complete this NVQ. The V1 qualification is a nationally recognised and widely used competence based programme that enables individuals to conduct internal quality assurance checks of the assessment process.
